As if she studied with the masters, Lisa’s original compositions conjure 60′s/70′s female fronted R&B/Soul music ala Tina Turner, Candi Staton, Aret ha Franklin, Gladys Knight and so many others. From ‘feel-good’ to emotion packed ballads, she pours her soul
in to each note delivering sincerity and connecting with audiences of all kinds.

 

 

On October 27th, Lisa Marshall releases her new album, ‘Stay Right Here’ at One to One Bar’s new location on S. Lamar. Although performing solo, recently, while finishing her new album “Stay Right Here”, her CD Release Show will boast a stellar line up and all star band (Lead guitar- Jack Edery, Bass- Bobby Perkins, Drums-Michael “Lefty” Lefkowitz, B3- Nathan Basinger)! The night begins with special performances from Tameca Jones and Courtney Sanchez. During her performance Lisa will be backed by graceful vocals from, Courtney Sanchez, Teri Lynn and Nnedi Agbaroji.

The Topfer Theatre and the entire ZACH campus will be ‘party central’ for our Deep in the Heart of ZACH opening event. Featuring a concert performance by Brian Stokes Mitchell, Broadway star of RAGTIME and Tony Award winner for KISS ME KATE, who will be joined by ZACH performers in a rousing review that will include a special sneak peak at RAGTIME! Local musicians play on the transformed Kleberg Stage, and ZACH’s talented artists, alumni and DJ Manny perform under the tent on the People’s Plaza. This progressive party will offer Austin’s choicest food vendors in a variety of food stations throughout ZACH’s campus and provide an exciting glimpse into ZACH’s new campus, and what it will be able to achieve.
